Drinks

Apple Cinnamon Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Combine apple juice, water and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Boil and pour over 2 tea bags.  Steep 5 minutes.  Serve hot or over ice.

Apple Fruit Slushy

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/3 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • Ice Cubes

 

Directions:  In a blender, mix apple juice, banana, strawberries, Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Add ice cubes and blend until slushed.

Apple Pie Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ¼ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup vanilla ice cream

 

Directions:  Blend ice, apple juice, Savannah Cinnamon Mix, milk and vanilla ice cream until smooth.

Cinna-berry Soda

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup cranberry juice
  • ¼ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • Club soda

 

Directions:  Fill a tall drinking glass with cranberry juice, Savannah Cinnamon Mix and vanilla ice cream.  Top off with club soda.

 

Cinnamon Apple Delight

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 cup apple juice

 

Directions:  Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix to apple juice.  Heat in microwave for a delicious mulled cider or serve chilled.

Cinnamon Apple Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 5 tea bags

 

Directions:  Combine apple juice, water, and Savannah Cinnamon Mix in a saucepan. Boil.  Pour mixture over tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.  Serve hot or over crushed ice.

Cinnamon Cooler

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooled very strong coffee
  • ¼ cup Hershey’s Chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Whisk together coffee, Hershey's chocolate syrup, cold milk, and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Serve over ice, or warm in microwave.

Cinnamon Splash

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 8oz ginger ale

 

Directions:  Add a splash Savannah Cinnamon Mix to ginger ale.  Serve over ice for a light refresher.

Eggnog Latte

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup coffee
  • 1 oz. Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 splash Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 tbsp. whipped topping

 

Directions:  Fill a warmed mug 3/4 full with good, strong, hot coffee.  Add 1 oz. either Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Garnish with flavored whipped topping.

Famous Savannah Cinnamon Christmas Punch

Ingredients:

  • ½ gallon apple juice
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • Bourbon to taste

 

Directions:  Pour apple juice into an electric coffee urn or crock pot.  Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix and Bourbon.

Stir and heat.

Hot Mulled Wine

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup good red wine
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 2 gallons cranapple juice

 

Directions:  Combine wine, Savannah Cinnamon Mix and cranapple juice.  Heat but do not boil.

Harvest Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart cranberry juice
  • 1 quart pineapple juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Mix together cranberry juice, pineapple juice, water, brown sugar and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Heat until warm.

Hot Nogs

Ingredients:

  • 1 jigger Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 jigger Brandy or Rum
  • 1 mug steaming hot coffee
  • 1 scoop whipped topping
  • 1 splash Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix and brandy or rum to a large mug of steaming hot coffee.  Mix splash of Savannah Cinnamon Mix and Whipped Topping and garnish.

North and South Wassail

Ingredients:

  • 48 oz. cranapple juice
  • 3 cups orange juice
  • ¾ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 tsp. cloves

 

Directions:  Heat the Mixture in a Crockpot on low for several hours.  The drink is better the longer it warms.

Orange Spice Cranberry Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart tea
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Brew tea.  Add Cranberry juice and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Blend well.  Serve over ice or serve warm.

Savannah Sippin' Tea

Ingredients:

  • 8 tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 64 oz. Apple Juice
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Brew tea.  Add apple juice and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Chill and serve.

Summertime Cinnamon Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 gallon cranapple juice chilled
  • 2 liters ginger ale chilled

 

Directions:  Mix Savannah Cinnamon Mix, cranapple juice and ginger ale.  Float an ice ring made from Cinnamon Apple Juice mixture to chill.

Skinny Cinnamon Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz prepared Sugar Free Hot Cocoa Mix
  • 1 oz Sugar Free Cinnamon Mix
  • Dollop Whipped Cream
  • Sprinkle Cinnamon or Nutmeg
  • Sugar Free Cookie

 

Directions:  Stir together Sugar Free Hot Cocoa and Sugar Free Cinnamon Mix.  Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with Cinnamon or Nutmeg.  Top with Sugar Free Cookie.

Wassail

Ingredients:

  • 32 oz. apple juice
  • 12 oz Ocean Spray Cranberry Drink
  • 12 oz Orange / Pineapple Juice
  • ¼ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Directions: Mix together apple juice, Ocean Spray Cranberry drink, Orange/Pineapple Juice, and Savannah Cinnamon Mix. Add sugar to taste. Heat and serve warm.

Witches Brew

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart cranberry juice
  • 1 quart pineapple juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • Dry ice

 

Directions:  Mix together cranberry juice, pineapple juice, water, brown sugar and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.   Heat the mixture until warm.  Serve in a black witches' cauldron and surround with dry ice for a great spooky effect!

 

 

Breakfast Entrees

Caramelized Bacon

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 package bacon

 

Directions:  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a long shallow dish, mix Savannah Cinnamon Mix and brown sugar. Dredge bacon in mixture and transfer to large broiler pan.  Bake bacon about 8 minutes on each side until dark golden brown.

Cinnamon Honey Pancake Syrup

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Honey
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Blend the honey and Savannah Cinnamon Mix in small saucepan and heat on medium high until warm (this helps the blend flavor and makes for easier pouring).  Pour over pancakes, waffles, French toast, ice-cream or desserts.

Cinnamon Peach French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 20 oz. peach pie filling
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 6 thick slices bread

 

Directions:  Pour peach pie filling evenly over the bottom of an ovenproof baking dish coated with cooking spray.  Set aside.  Combine eggs, milk, and Savannah Cinnamon Mix in a large bowl.  Whisk to combine.  Carefully dredge bread through the egg mixture, making sure that each is well-coated.  Carefully place the bread slices over the pie filling in the baking dish, allowing them to overlap slightly.  Sprinkle with Savannah Cinnamon Mix and bake for 40-50 minutes or until toast is golden.  Very good served with Cinnamon Cream Sauce.

Elephant Ears

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup shortening
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon

 

Directions:  Cream together shortening and sugar.  Add egg and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Sift in flour and baking soda.  Pinch off pieces of dough, and roll out each piece to 3 inches long.  Roll pieces in brown sugar and cinnamon.  Flatten slightly and place on baking sheet sprayed with no stick cooking spray.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Indian Apple Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts milk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups sweet apples, peeled, cored and sliced

 

Directions: Scald milk, stir in cornmeal until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat; add sugar, molasses, Savannah Cinnamon Mix, salt, and sweet apples. Pour into a deep pudding dish and bake for 3 hours. This is delicious with Cinnamon Cream topping (see recipe below).

Cinnamon Apple Ham Slices

Ingredients:

  • 4 ham slices or steaks
  • Butter
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ cup Apple Jelly

 

Directions: Brown 1/2 ham slices or ham steaks in butter. Heat Savannah Cinnamon Mix and Apple Jelly until blended. Pour mixture over ham. Cook for 15-20 minutes until sauce thickens.

Sunday Morning Cinnamon Nuggets

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick of butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup Southern Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

 

Directions: Mix eggs, butter, sugar, Savannah Cinnamon Mix together. Add the flour and pecans. Drop by the spoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8 min. or until lightly brown at 350 degrees.

 

 

Dips, Glazes & Sauces

Basting Sauces

Ingredients:

  • 1 10oz jar Apple Jelly
  • ¼ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions: Heat until blended apple jelly and Savannah Cinnamon Mix. Baste.

Candy Apple Cheese Spread

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 ½ tbsp. Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ cup finely chopped dried apples
  • ¼ cup finely chopped pecans

 

Directions: Blend softened cream cheese, ricotta cheese, Savannah Cinnamon Mix, brown sugar, apples and pecans.

Cinnamon Butter

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 stick butter

 

Directions: Mix Savannah Cinnamon Mix with a stick of butter.

Cinnamon Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

 

Directions: Boil together for 3 minutes, Savannah Cinnamon Mix and butter. Cool and stir in evaporated milk.

Optional: and 1/2 cup chopped pecans.

Cinnamon Fruit Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions: In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, light brown sugar and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.

Cinnamon Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup pineapple or orange juice
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions: Melt together brown sugar, pineapple or orange juice, Savannah Cinnamon Mix.

Ham Glaze with Brown Sugar

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ cup brown sugar

 

Directions: Blend ingredients, glaze and cook ham as directed.

Ham Glaze with Jelly

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 10oz jar Apple Jelly or Orange Marmalade

 

Directions: Blend ingredients, glaze and cook ham as directed.

Ham Glaze with Brown Sugar

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 8 oz. Coke

 

Directions: Blend ingredients, glaze and cook ham as directed.

Spicy Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 Cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries

 

Directions: Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix to a saucepan.  Bring to low boil.  Add fresh cranberries.  Boil rapidly just until berries pop (about 2 minutes).  Spoon the cooked cranberries into hollowed out orange halves.  Chill.  

Terrific Cinnamon Whipped Topping

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 12 oz. whipped topping, thawed

 

Directions: Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix to thawed whipped topping.

 

 

Entrees

German Apple Chops

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 6 – 8 pork chops
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 2 – 3 sliced apples (cored and peeled)
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Season flour with salt & pepper to taste.  Lightly flour pork chops.  Brown the pork chops on one side in butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.  Turn chops; add apples, onion, and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Bring to a boil and simmer.  Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes until chops are done.

 

 

Vegetables & Fruits

Apple Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups tart apples, sliced
  • Butter
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup oatmeal
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter

 

Directions:  Heat oven to 350.  Slice apples into a buttered 9 x 13 casserole.  Pour Savannah Cinnamon Mix over apples.  Mix together flour, oatmeal brown sugar and melted butter.  Spread over apples and bake until apples are tender and topping is browned.  Serve with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with Savannah Cinnamon Mix.

Apple Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 splash Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 serving Apple Sauce

 Directions: Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix to apple sauce.  Serve hot or cold.

Baked Acorn Squash

Ingredients:

  • 1 acorn squash
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Cut acorn squash in half and remove seeds.  Place the acorn squash halves in a baking dish and fill the center of each squash with butter and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Mix water and Savannah Cinnamon Mix and pour into pan around squash.  Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 1 hour, until tender.

Baked Apple

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple
  • Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 1 pat butter

 

Directions:  Core apple.  Pour Savannah Cinnamon Mix over the apple and fill the center.  Add a pat of butter. Cover and microwave for 4 minutes or till tender.

Cinnamon Fried Apples

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 8 sliced apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Melt butter in a skillet.  Add apples.  Sprinkle brown sugar over apples and simmer for 15 minutes.  Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix and cook over medium heat, stirring until liquids evaporate.  Serve while hot with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping that has been flavored with Savannah Cinnamon Mix.

Copper Carrots

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch fresh carrots
  • Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • Water

 

Directions:  Cut and slice carrots.  Mix equal amounts Savannah Cinnamon Mix & water, just to cover carrots. Cook until tender but crisp.

Glazed Bananas and Carrots

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sliced or whole baby carrots
  • Water
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 3 bananas sliced

 

Directions:  Cover carrots with water and cook until tender.  Drain.  Melt butter in a skillet.  Add Savannah Cinnamon Mix and salt.  Heat and stir until glaze is well blended.  Fold in carrots.  Gently mix and cook 2-3 minutes.  Add bananas to pan and cook another 2 minutes.

Harvest Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 large can of Sweet Potatoes
  • 2 apples slices
  • ½ cup cranberries
  • Drizzle Savannah Cinnamon Mix

 

Directions:  Blend brown sugar, Savannah Cinnamon Mix and melted butter.  Pour sweet potatoes into casserole.

Top with apples and cranberries.  Pour on Savannah Cinnamon Mixture.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350.  Drizzle with Savannah Cinnamon Mix before serving.

Scalloped Apples

Ingredients:

  • 6 – 8 apples
  • ¾ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice

 

Directions:  Slice apples into a buttered baking dish.  Blend together Savannah Cinnamon Mix, melted butter, salt and lemon juice.  Pour over apples.  Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes until apples are soft.

Spicy Cranberries

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ¼ cup Water

 

Directions:  Rinse and sort cranberries.  Add cranberries to sugar, water, and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Cook and stir until berries pop (about 2 min.)  Chill.

Waldorf salad

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 large apples
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery

 

Directions:  Combine Savannah Cinnamon Mix, mayonnaise and lemon juice.  Set aside.  Cut apples into pieces. Add raisins, chopped walnuts, and sliced celery.  Fold in mayonnaise mixture.  Serve on lettuce.

 

Cinnamon Glazed Nuts

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup Savannah Cinnamon Mix
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

 Directions:  Place the pecan halves in a 13 x 9 pan.  Melt butter, brown sugar and Savannah Cinnamon Mix.  Heat until boiling and gently cook for about 2 minutes.  Add baking soda and stir until foamy.  Pour over nuts.  Stir to coat well.  Bake at 250 degrees for one hour.  Spread on cookie sheet to cool.
